Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before using the Travel Expense Tracker mobile application ("the App", "Service") operated by the App Creator/Developer ("us", "we", "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you do not have permission to access the App.

1. Purpose of the App

The App is designed solely as a manual, digital utility tool to assist users in organizing, calculating, and tracking their personal or official business travel expenses. The App functions based on mathematical calculations and logic applied to inputs provided entirely by the user.

2. Local-Only Storage and Data Responsibility

·         No Server Storage: The App functions strictly using local offline database architecture. We do not transmit, collect, sync, back up, or store your expense data, text entries, or uploaded bill images on any external cloud servers. All data is saved exclusively on your physical mobile device.

·         User Responsibility for Data Loss: Because your data resides entirely on your device, we have no access to it. If you lose your phone, delete the App, clear the App cache, or experience a device malfunction, all your saved data will be permanently lost. We are not responsible for any data loss.

·         Backup Recommendation: You are strictly advised and encouraged to manually back up, export, or screenshot your expense reports and data records time-to-time to prevent accidental loss.

3. Absolute Disclaimer of Data Accuracy and User Error

·         User Input Errors: The App relies completely on the data inputs, text, numerical values, and images that you provide. If you mistakenly enter the wrong amounts, upload an incorrect receipt, or log faulty data, you are solely responsible for the mistake.

·         No Financial Liability: We are not responsible or liable for any financial losses, budget discrepancies, or professional penalties you suffer due to your own incorrect data entry within this App. No legal action can be brought against the developer for user errors.

4. Expense Splitting Feature Disclaimer

·         Mathematical Tool Only: The group travel expense splitting feature included in the App is a calculation helper tool based on automated logical rules. It is designed to assist you with estimations.

·         No Guarantee of Absolute Correctness: While the calculation logic is tested, we do not claim or warrant that the split outputs are 100% correct, error-free, or applicable to every complex social scenario.

·         User Disagreements: The App and its creator are completely absolved of responsibility for any arguments, disputes, financial disagreements, or social conflicts that arise between you and your fellow travelers or group members regarding the split amounts.

5. Advertisements and Premium Subscriptions

·         Ad Integration: You explicitly acknowledge and agree that the free version of the App displays third-party advertisements. These include banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads placed at various points within the user interface.

·         Premium (Ad-Free) Experience: Users may choose to purchase a Premium version of the App. The clear and sole benefit of the Premium tier is the removal of advertisements for an ad-free user experience. The Premium tier does not include server backups or alter the local-storage nature of the App.

6. Camera Permissions and Content Restrictions

·         Camera Access Limit: The App requires device camera permissions for the sole, strict purpose of allowing you to snap real-time pictures of your physical bills, receipts, or expense copies to attach to your logs.

·         Prohibited Content: You are strictly instructed and advised to use the camera feature exclusively for valid, relevant, and legal business or personal receipts. You are prohibited from capturing, attaching, or storing illegal photos, aggressive imagery, pornography, or non-relevant content within the App.

·         User Conduct Indemnity: Because images are stored locally on your device, we cannot monitor what you capture. Any illegal or inappropriate use of the camera tool is your sole legal responsibility.

7. Third-Party Affiliate Booking Links

·         Redirection to External Services: The App contains affiliate links to third-party services for food delivery (e.g., Swiggy, Zomato, Pizza Hut, Domino's), transportation (e.g., Ola, Uber, Rapido, Cleartrip, Air India), and hotel bookings (e.g., MakeMyTrip, Trivago, Booking.com, Agoda). Clicking these links redirects you to their pre-installed apps or official web portals.

·         No Liability for Bookings: We do not manage these platforms. The App and its creator accept zero responsibility or legal liability for failed bookings, mis-bookings, payment issues, refund disputes, poor customer service, or any transactions conducted on those third-party networks. Resolving booking issues is entirely your responsibility through those specific vendors.

8. Legal Use and Prohibition of Financial Crime

·         Authorized Use Cases: This App must be used strictly for tracking lawful, official, commercial, or personal trip expenses.

·         Prohibition of Illegal Activity: You are strictly prohibited from using this App to aid, record, or obscure any illegal activities, including but not limited to fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, scams, or illicit trade. If you engage in illegal activity using the tool, you assume full criminal and civil liability.

9. Intellectual Property and anti-Duplication

·         Ownership of Code: All original source code, design elements, user interfaces, logic, graphics, and branding layout of this App are the exclusive intellectual property of the App Creator.

·         No Copying or Cloning: You are strictly prohibited from copying, reverse-engineering, decompiling, cloning, duplicating, or creating counterfeit versions of this App. Any individual or entity found copying this software will face strict legal prosecution, statutory punishments, and punitive damages.

10. Limitation of Liability and "As-Is" Provision

·         No Warranties: The App is provided to you on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any warranties of any kind, explicit or implied.

·         Total Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App creator/developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or system downtime) arising out of your use or inability to smoothly navigate the App. If you find the App difficult or frustrating to use, your sole remedy is to uninstall it.
